Book of the People

Another successful meeting was held on Sunday 16th of May at Manyung Gallery.

W e all looked a bit of  alright too!!!!!

The Book discussed was Book of the People by Geraldine and it was a general consensus a great and  interesting read.It was a lovely setting to have a meeting and after much discussion about the book and everything else going on in peoples lives we went for a wander throughout the gallery stopping to admire the magnificient work by artist Barbara Tyson.  I think all the other diners at the restaurant werer elieved to see us move on, we can be a very animated bunch.

A few of the girls also gathered around the jewelery and tried on a few pices, Susan and Leonie I think you should buy the rings, they looked beautiful!!

It was suggested we pool resources when we have to purchase a book, dividing between a few rather than bearing the whole cost yourself, we can work this out between ourselves.

Shelle brought along her special Breakfast at Tiffany's Book for recording our meetings which will be a feature at every meeting, so if you have anything special you would like added to the book please bring along.

Sophie has informed me she will no longer be attending as she has taken on a beauty/ makeup course( we could all be guinea pigs at some stage for her),so she may drop in as a special guest and give us all a makeover????

Simone too is finding it difficult to get to meetings and will not be attending.Simone , feel free to come to any meetings whenever youcan make it. We did have a discussion re new members and Susie has invited a friend of hers Anne McNabb to join our next meeting, will be good to meet someone new too.

Jill has taken over the role of organising photos for me, she has requested 2 photos, 1 of when you are younger and a recent photo too. Please email to Jill or bring along to meeting for her to copy.She suggested a good one would be a wedding, bridesmaid photo etc.
