                                                        February 2012
Held at Higginbotham Winery on 12/2
Apologies Susan and Jayne

A lovely rustic setting for our first meeting of the year, I feel very remiss though as we forgot to celebrate that it was our

2nd  birthday, we will have to make up for it at our next meeting, look out Bousie!!!!

We did eventually get ourselves settled after deciding it would be too noisy near the band to hear our conversations, can you believe we thought they would be too noisy...... indeed.
Audrey spotted a bit of eye candy that seemed to keep walking past making it very difficult for her to maintain order.
OMG Audrey was in love with the beaurtiful big Clydesdale who was in the paddock outside

BOOK REVIEW:
Book reviewed was Tuscan Rose

A story that also presented us with some historical content, it was enjoyed by most, Jules was not too keen , it was a bit too bleak for her, I myself really enjoyed it, enough to want to read another title.
A bit more padding out of characters was a suggestion.

Overall rating was 7 out of 10.

GENERAL BUSINESS:

Gaye has been nominated the knitting guru so if you are still feeling inclined to do some knitting of squares for charity then contact Gaye if you have forgotten the instructions.

Patrick-- We will continue to collect goodies on a monthly basis for Patrick to make hampers as we get enough stock, thanks Gaye for your last contribution.

We will also be starting to collect again on a monthly basis for our charity pick at the end of the year. Leonie if you still want to put your hand up as treasurer , if not let me know and we can handover to someone else.

Jill and I had a little venture down to Loch and had an encounter with the publican of the local pub, thought it would be a great venue for a Bookclub weekend away, Sybil the ownere is a member of a Bookclub too, there are books scattered throughout the hotel. She ahs given us an outline of what it would cost for a nights accommodation with dinner, it would work out to around $108 per head for dinner, breakfast and inc acc. i would love to hear your thoughts for a weekend later in the year.

Next Meeting:

20th March to be held at Julia's
